Meet Our Interns
Richmond Ave Animal Hospital is far more than just a hospital, it is also a place of learning. We value educating the next generation of veterinarians and Vet Technicians. We practice this value in a few ways. The first, is that we offer internships for students from high school to college graduates that want to expand their knowledge of Veterinary Science. Much like collegiate medical programs, we have our interns sit in on live surgeries, administer medications, and participate in the daily care of our boarders and inpatients - all under the watchful eyes of our doctors and technicians.
Now, a little about our current interns. Elizabeth Decker is a Houston native that has an immeasurable love of animals. She came to us in the quest for knowledge that would help her decide what kind of veterinary programs she would pursue in University. Her drive and dedication to the betterment of animal lives have made her an invaluable member to our team and hopefully her time with us will prove fruitful in the future. Miss Rose Read, another Houston native, has spent a few summers with us here at RAAH after discovering her passion for veterinary medicine when she saw a horse with two different colored eyes and sought out the answer. This summer we prepare to send her on her way to Texas A&M to study Equine Genealogy.
